Letter to the Editor: Need to reconsider the move to issue new fishing licenses
We refer to the statement by the Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry (MoA) to look into unfreezing some 16,000 fishing vessel licenses. (‘Govt to look into frozen fishing vessel licenses’ – New Straits Times 29 August). WWF-Malaysia requests the Ministry to reconsider looking into unfreezing those 16,000 fishing licenses. » Read more

Rehabilitation works between WWF-Malaysia and Sawit Kinabalu continues for another 10 years
Realising the importance of rehabilitation efforts for the Lower Kinabatangan, Sawit Kinabalu Group, a state-owned oil palm company has further agreed to set aside their land for another 10 years for reforestation and conservation works. » Read more
